Sistemas sectoriales, alcance y desarrollo económico

Abstract

Este artículo pretende analizar los factores que influyen en el alcance (catching up) de seis diferentes sistemas sectoriales —el automotriz, el de las telecomunicaciones, el farmacéutico, el de software, el de los semiconductores, el agroalimentario— en distintos países: China, India, Brasil, Corea, Taiwán y otros. La investigación que aquí se presenta es parte de un programa de estudios mucho más amplio dedicado al examen de varios aspectos del fenómeno del alcance en el desarrollo económico, desde la función que tie¬nen las capacidades locales de las empresas hasta las diferencias que hay entre los sectores, la medición del alcance, los efectos del ipr, etcétera.
