Las remesas en el contexto de los determinantes del consumo privado en México, 1995-2019

Abstract

Con enfoques keynesiano y poskeynesiano se analiza la importancia de las remesas en la explicación de las tendencias crecientes del consumo privado, los bienes duraderos, semi-duraderos, no-durade-ros, nacionales e importados, y los servicios en México en el periodo 1995-2019. Para estimar los efectos de las remesas en la explicación de los diferentes bienes del consumo y servicios se utilizó la metodo-logía de cointegración sin sesgo de endogeneidad fmols. Para confirmar su relevancia en el contexto poskeynesiano se construyó un ejercicio de análisis econométrico con variables explicativas de control alternativas al ingreso. Con los resultados se confirmó que las remesas junto con el ingreso corriente y el tipo de cambio real son los determinantes más importantes de la explicación del comportamiento de los bienes por su durabilidad y los servicios en México.
