Los distritos de mejora urbana y turística en la ciudad digital estratégica: El Distritotec en Monterrey, México

Abstract

En el marco del proyecto Monterrey Ciudad Internacional del Conocimiento, la ciudad de Monterrey, México, con su Plan de Desarrollo Urbano 2013-2025, generó estrategias para convertirse en una Ciudad Digital Estratégica, incluyendo los proyectos City Improvement Districts como el DistritoTec. El objetivo consistió en determinar las relaciones entre los City Improvement Districts (CID) y la Ciudad Digital Estratégica (CDE). La metodología de investigación enfatizó una investigación documental comparativa, donde los planos parciales podrían generar cuestiones estratégicas aisladas dentro de una estructura municipal menos eficiente. Los resultados comprueban las dependencias entre los planos para modernizar la estructura legal y la gestión municipal, incluyendo tanto la participación ciudadana como la implementación integral de las dimensiones del conocimiento. La conclusión reitera la importancia de esas relaciones para generar una calidad de vida que permita retener el capital humano necesario para consolidar otros proyectos, con una sociedad más transparente, incluyente y resiliente a las adversidades futuras, urbanas y turísticas.
