Evaluación de la gestión empresarial de los prestadores de servicios turísticos de Puerto Ayora

Abstract

El desarrollo de este artículo muestra una herramienta de evaluación de la gestión de los prestadores de servicios turísticos. El lugar escogido para la aplicación de este instrumento, fue Puerto Ayora; debido al estar inmerso en el destino turístico de Galápagos, un lugar de reconocimiento internacional por sus condiciones ecoturísticas. La matriz presentada contiene siete criterios a ser evaluadas: liderazgo; planeamiento estratégico; orientación hacia el cliente y mercado; medición, análisis y gestión del conocimiento; orientación hacia las personas; gestión de procesos y resultados. Como resultados de este análisis, se reconocieron el nivel de cumplimiento de los criterios en los diferentes aspectos de la gestión empresarial, según la clasificación de las actividades turísticas en el Ecuador; pero tomando en cuenta únicamente a los sectores: comidas y bebidas, alojamiento, transporte turístico y agencias de viajes (AA.VV).
