Avaliação da gestão turística municipal: um estudo de caso do órgão gestor de turismo de Ipojuca (Pernambuco)

Abstract

Este artigo apresenta como estudo de caso uma avaliação do órgão gestor de turismo do município de Ipojuca, considerado como um dos três destinos indutores do estado de Pernambuco por abrigar a praia de Porto de Galinhas. Pautando-se em quatro princípios, 1) cooperação e corresponsabilidade entre a administração pública e demais atores do destino; 2) transparência; 3) estabilidade e autossuficiência financeira; 4) orientação ao mercado, preconizados pela Federación Española de Municipios e Provincias como requisitos à gestão ideal de destinos turísticos, analisa-se a estrutura institucional da gestão municipal do turismo e reflete-se sobre o modelo de gestão pública em vigor. Os procedimentos metodológicos consistiram na realização de pesquisa documental sobre o destino e na aplicação de entrevista com um gestor do órgão realizada no início do mandato municipal em 2013.
