Abstract

Hablar de turismo implica de raíz, intentar buscar parámetros cualitativos que dada la acepción que se emplee para definir dicha actividad social, demarcará diferenciación o unificación de criterios. Antes de entrar en detalle, es importante aclarar que a través de este ejercicio, se intenta dar una aproximación científica del surgimiento del turismo en Panamá. Ello puede conllevar reacciones consensuadas o adversas. Empero, lo que interesa es, establecer lineamientos generales que permitan lograr una mejor comprensión de la evolución de esta actividad en Panamá y su consecuente relación en torno a las transformaciones sociales originadas por este hecho social.
