Las Adolescentes Embarazadas Que Acuden A Un Centro Comunitario: Sus Principales Características

Abstract

El personal de enfermería del centro comunitario de atención primaria ubicado en el oriente de la ciudad de San Luis Potosí, ha observado que más del 40% de las mujeres embarazadas que acuden a control prenatal son adolescentes. El objetivo de este trabajo fue identificar las características de este grupo de edad adscritas al programa de control prenatal. Se encontró que la edad mínima fue de 13 años de edad, 45.6% eran solteras, 48.3% vivían con su pareja en unión libre; 80.5% contaban con seguro popular, 70.1% se dedicaban a las labores del hogar, 44.8% habían concluido la escuela secundaria. El presente estudio muestra la vulnerabilidad de las pacientes embarazadas. Se requiere del diseño e implementación de intervenciones enfocadas a la prevención del embarazo desde la adolescencia temprana.
