La Posposición De Operaciones En Las Cadenas De Suministro: Un Estudio De La Literatura

Abstract

En estos tiempos de globalización la administración de la cadena de suministro requiere de adaptar el producto a las necesidades del cliente por lo cual existen tres elementos que son inherentes a este evento: cadena de suministro, posposición y herramientas para su análisis. El concepto de cadena de suministro se refiere a un sistema de entidades (proveedores, fabricantes, almacenadores-distribuidores, vendedores y clientes) en los cuáles existe un flujo de materiales e información, esta última fluye en ambas direcciones. La posposición de operaciones implica la especulación de las operaciones (adelantar o atrasar) con el objeto que la demanda de cliente sea satisfecha a mínimo costo (Van Hoek, 2001). Dicho lo anterior, este trabajo tiene la finalidad de presentar los avances que hay sobre el tema, intentando identificar problemáticas y metodologías estudiadas en los últimos años. Las bases metodológicas que se encontraron son: simulación de eventos discretos, la programación matemática y los multimétodos. La implementación en la industria de la posposición también es abordada en la discusión.
