Abstract

Es evidente la necesidad de que los funcionarios encargados del manejo de los recursos públicos rindan cuentas del presupuesto que ejercen; por tal motivo, existen en la gran mayoría de países democráticos, órganos encargados del control y destino de los recursos públicos. El núcleo central de esta investigación es dar a conocer los orígenes y evolución de la Auditoría Superior de la Federación en México y, de la Auditoría Superior del Estado de San Luís de forma específica en el ámbito local. Cabe señalar que poca doctrina hay al respecto, por lo que las líneas escritas en este artículo son inéditas, sin dejar de advertir que se utilizará el método comparativo al acudir a fuentes extranjeras para saber el procedimiento de rendición y revisión de cuentas en países como España, antecedente próximo de nuestra institución en estudio.
