La Tecnologia Instruccional Y Educación A Distancia ¿Es Una Profesión Emergente O Solo Una Moda?

Abstract

El artículo tiene por objetivo describir la fundamentación del porque los autores consideran que el campo de la Tecnología Instruccional (TI) y Educación a Distancia (ED) puede ser considerada como una profesión. En base a diferentes definiciones de TI y ED, se realizó un análisis de los elementos implicados en esta área con la finalidad de establecer una postura por parte de los autores de acuerdo a las características que identifican a una profesión. Los autores encuadraron su postura de acuerdo al contexto en México y en base a las disposiciones de la Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP), ya que es la única dependencia facultada para otorgar a una universidad pública o privada el registro de una profesión y el permiso para su ofrecimiento. De igual manera se hace referencia a que la TI y la ED como un sólo campo de estudio, presenta un embalaje formativo más completo debido a la mezcla de dos disciplinas, lo cual permite estructurar un perfil pertinente a dos contextos educativos, el de la enseñanza convencional y el de la enseñanza a distancia.
