Organizaciones de la sociedad civil y derechos humanos de los pueblos indígenas del estado de Guanajuato. Un diagnóstico

Abstract

Los pueblos originarios, mejor conocidos como pueblos indígenas en México generalmente enfrentan situaciones de vulnerabilidad, inequidad y exclusión, distinguiéndose por los altos índices de pobreza y marginación en los que viven. Desde el gobierno se han realizado avances para revertir esta situación, por ejemplo con la creación de marcos jurídicos de diversa índole, los cuales se complementan con las distintas disposiciones internacionales que buscan el respeto de sus derechos humanos. Recientemente estos esfuerzos han sido fortalecidos con el trabajo de organizaciones de la sociedad civil que velan para que la población indígena mejore sus condiciones de vida. En este trabajo se realiza un diagnóstico de los pueblos indígenas en el estado de Guanajuato, México, además de que se identifican a las organizaciones de la sociedad civil que los atienden y procuran, lo anterior con especial énfasis en la inteligibilidad que implica el término indígena.
