Las capacidades tecnológicas y la experiencia empresarial

Abstract

El desarrollo de capacidades tecnológicas es de gran importancia para el crecimiento económico de una nación. Las empresas deben tener la habilidad para utilizar eficientemente el conocimiento tecnológico para asimilar, utilizar, adaptar y cambiar la tecnología existente de tal manera que pueda desarrollar nueva tecnología, procesos y/o productos. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la relación que existe entre las capacidades tecnológicas, la permanencia en el mercado y el tamaño de las empresas de la industria agroalimentaria. Se analizan las capacidades tecnológicas de 71 empresas de la industria agroalimentaria de la región Laja-Bajío, a través de un instrumento que se aplicó a gerentes y/o dueños de las empresas. Los resultados muestran que existe una relación positiva y estadísticamente significativa entre las capacidades tecnológicas y la permanencia en el mercado, así como con el tamaño de la empresa.
