El sector servicios: revisión de los aportes para su teorización y estudio

Abstract

El tercer sector de la economía, no ha sido objeto de un estudio profundo por parte de los teóricos. Esto se puede deber a que se les asocia con características tradicionales, como pueden ser: su escasa materialización, su prestación y consumo debe hacerse en el mismo momento, no se pueden almacenar, su comercialización es escasa, etc. En este trabajo hacemos una revisión de lo que se ha escrito acerca de los servicios, desde su conceptualización hasta las diferentes clasificaciones para un mejor estudio del sector, pasando por los estudios realizados desde el punto de vista económico y social. Con esto pretendemos sintetizar y ofrecer una panorámica, no exhaustiva, de lo que se ha escrito sobre este relevante sector del que falta aún mucho por conocer ya que se puede abordar desde diferentes perspectivas.
