Agricultura y migración en la región occidente de México

Abstract

el presente trabajo trata al respecto de la crisis de la agricultura en México vivida desde las reformas al artículo constitucional 27 a fines de 1991 e inicios de 1992, con la desaparición de la propiedad comunitaria conocida como ejido y la prominencia de la propiedad privada de las tierras arables, la implementación de la agricultura orientada a productos forrajeros para carnes de exportación y a las hortalizas de exportación, a partir de 1994 con la vigencia del tratado de libre comercio con Estados Unidos de América y Canadá, y el efecto que tiene en los agricultores y campesinos, el desarrollo rural y las comunidades de jornaleros agrícolas, su migración interna como internacional y el deterioro de su calidad de vida desde entonces a la actualidad. Para el caso se centra el estudio en la experiencia tenida en la franja occidental de México.
