Decisión de compra bajo la contingencia de elección binaria utilizando la base de segmentación demográfica del consumidor. Caso: aceites comestibles

Abstract

El propósito de este trabajo consiste en describir en primera instancia las variables de segmentación demográficas consideradas en el estudio de como las personas tienden a discriminar entre dos criterios básicos de compra: el de diferenciación de productos vs. precios. En una segunda etapa de la investigación se progresa en las pruebas de hipótesis con fundamento en Chi-cuadrado y estadísticos Wald para mostrar la significancia de estos criterios de segmentación en la explicación del criterio de compra seleccionado por el consumidor. Esta investigación se realiza en la ciudad de Culiacán, Sinaloa México a finales de 2012, a través de una de muestra de 349 compradores. Los resultados obtenidos nos muestran una relación significativa para un nivel a=0.05, para solo 2 de 8 variables; el nivel educativo y el nivel de ingresos del consumidor. Por tanto, se cuenta con una relación concluyente y estadísticamente significativa.
