Mujeres Mexicanas, Empoderamiento Y Política

Abstract

A pesar de que existe una creciente participación laboral, social, política y cultural de las mujeres mexicanas, su participación en los espacios de toma de decisiones es muy escasa. Este trabajo analiza los factores que facilitan o dificultan el que las mujeres puedan empoderarse y por ende acceder a puestos de poder. Se analizó el papel de las percepciones de los logros (altos, moderados y bajos) que han tenido las mujeres, así como la socialización (tradicional, en transición y moderna) sobre su participación política. El estudio se hizo a nivel nacional, la muestra fue determinada utilizando los datos del INEGI (2000) de la población de mujeres de 15 a 73 años. El tamaño fue de 496 mujeres. El ANOVA muestra efectos significativos de la socialización y de la percepción de logros sobre el empoderamiento total. La pruebe Scheffé mostro que las mujeres que perciben haber tenido una socialización moderna tienen mayores niveles de empoderamiento.
