Abstract

Ante los problemas de analfabetismo, pobreza, discriminación, exclusión y miseria cultural en los países periféricos, aparentemente existen pocas posibilidades de cambio social que pueden realizar las personas, pero, en la búsqueda de estrategias idóneas se encontró la potencialidad de la estética (no hegemónica) en la cultura, que puede ser detonadora de las reivindicaciones y aspiraciones de las clases subalternas de manera constructiva. En este breve ensayo se argumenta filosóficamente esta potencialidad de la estética y los aportes que hace Paulo Freire en la educación como búsqueda, posibilidad y utopía para reconstruir (se) el sujeto en sociedad.
