Abstract

Este libro, producto de una compilación de Marta Fernández, realiza un breve pero exhaustivo repaso de las obras de seis pensadores sociales de nuestros tiempos: Paul Ricoeur, Cornelius Castoriadis, Zygmunt Bauman, Jean Baudrillard, Gianni Vattimo y Gilles Lipovetsky. Los capítulos en los que se encuentra dividido cuentan con una estructura análoga: comienzan con la introducción al pensador en su contexto –un proceso que implica la aplicación de la hermenéutica por parte de quiénes lo escriben–, luego continúan con el desarrollo de sus principales conceptos y aportes al estado del arte, para culminar en las reflexiones de los autores acerca de los pensadores. En algunos capítulos, sobre el final, se ofrecen los datos biográficos de los mismos.
