Abstract

La posibilidad de estar representado políticamente, o de gobernar por medio de sus representantes, es un derecho fundamental, amparado constitucionalmente en casi todos los estados modernos. Sin embargo, la forma republicana representativa de gobierno, en muchos estados actuales, amerita una reflexión sobre la legitimación y la eficacia de ese derecho. En la actualidad los medios de comunicación masiva se erigen en nexo entre representados y representantes, coadyuvando al ejercicio cívico de los ciudadanos
