Abstract

El empoderamiento de la mujer ha crecido con el paso del tiempo desde que se realizaron los primeros movimientos sociales por la lucha de la igualdad de género, logrando poco a poco que sean reconocidos sus derechos y su participación en diferentes ámbitos laborales; en este sentido el sector salud no ha sido la excepción, por lo que es cada día más común ver a mujeres incursionar en actividades profesionales que tienen que ver con la ciencia y la salud. Los logros de muchas mujeres y el reconocimiento de su valiosa y activa participación se han hecho evidentes, así como el respeto hacia el papel que desempeñan tanto en lo familiar, lo académico, como en la investigación y en lo profesional. En este contexto comparto la historia de vida y emprendimiento de una mujer mexicana, inquieta, deportista, sensible, comprometida y de un gran corazón quien, tras equivocarse en la ruta que había elegido, decidió cambiar y seguir una pasión y los latidos del corazón.
