Entre el Patrimonio y la Tradición: La Fiesta de San Miguel Arcángel en el municipio de San Felipe, Guanajuato

Abstract

En el municipio de San Felipe, al norte del estado de Guanajuato, se ubica el santuario de San Miguel Arcángel, recinto que en el mes de septiembre recibe a miles de devotos quienes acuden desde distintos punto del país para participar en las actividades de la fiesta de San Miguel, celebración que se realiza desde el periodo virreinal y que se ha vuelto una tradición. El objetivo del presente texto es estudiar esta fiesta y para ello, se hará una reseña histórica de la misma, se describirá su estructura y organización y se analizará considerándola como un patrimonio cultural de los peregrinos y devotos de la región.
