Abstract

En la presente investigación, se plantea el derecho a la educación de las personas con discapacidad visual y los servicios, recursos didácticos y tecnológicos que el sistema educativo debe ofrecer de acuerdo a la ley, para que puedan estudiar una licenciatura. Se planteó como objetivo sistematizar información sobre los distintos apoyos que ofrecen algunas instituciones de educación superior en Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, para la atención educativa. Se empleó el enfoque cualitativo con la técnica documental y de entrevista semiestructurada para la recuperación de los datos y los resultados de la investigación muestran que existe una deficiencia en la infraestructura educativa, sobre todo en lo relacionado con los materiales bibliográficos, ya que las bibliotecas y salas de cómputo no cuentan con lectores Braille y otras herramientas que favorecen la accesibilidad. Como conclusión general se puede decir que es muy bajo el índice de personas con discapacidad visual que incursionan en el nivel superior para estudiar una licenciatura, esto porque no cuentan con los recursos didácticos y de apoyo que necesitan para continuar aprendiendo.
