Luxación congénita de la Cadera en Neonatología. Los casos del Hospital Docente Materno Infantil “Dr. Luis Mario Cruz Cruz”

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo retrospectivo sobre luxación congénita de la cadera en la sala de Neonatología del Hospital Docente Materno Infantil “Dr Luís Mario Cruz Cruz” en el año 2018. Para el mismo se recogieron los datos arrojados en el registro de malformaciones. Las variables utilizadas fueron nacidos vivos, malformados, recién nacidos luxados, sexo, peso al nacer, modo de nacimiento, lado de la luxación. Concluimos que en nuestro hospital, esta patología se comporta como en la bibliografía revisada, donde prevalece el sexo femenino, el lado izquierdo se luxa con más frecuencia, el peso promedio y los nacidos por parto eutócico fueron los más afectados. Recomendamos hacer extensivo este trabajo, para que el examen de las caderas en las puericulturas no pase por alto y así poder realizar diagnóstico y tratamiento precoz de esta patología, evitando conductas terapéuticas de más riesgos en los bebés.
