Geokwanza: implementação de um websig da bacia sedimentar do Kwanza

Abstract

O presente artigo científico visou desenvolver o primeiro SIG na Internet que disponibilizasse dados geológicos resultantes dos estudos realizados na bacia sedimentar do Kwanza, apelidado por Geokwanza. Para a sua construção foram utilizados programas específicos de código fonte aberta, dotados de funcionalidades de edição, análise, produção, armazenamento e publicação da informação via internet, tais como: Quantum-Gis, Grass, Php, Apache, Mapserver, e P.mmaper. A aplicação final capaz de disponibilizar informações geológicas e georreferenciadas foi baptizada por “Geokwanza”.
