Análisis de casos de responsabilidad médica, del Instituto Nacional de Medicina Legal: Cali años 2012 a 2015

Abstract

Introducción: Es necesaria una revisión que desde el enfoque de salud y justicia, facilite a los peritos y en general al personal de operadores judiciales un acercamiento conceptual y técnico a los procesos jurídicos derivados de insatisfacción en la prestación de servicios de salud. El objetivo del presente trabajo es identificar las fallas más frecuentes de la atención en salud; en la metodología se realizó un análisis descriptivo, a partir de la toma aleatoria de 150 casos del Instituto Nacional de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses en Cali sometidos análisis entre 2012 y 2015, donde se planteaban por el demandante posibles fallas en atención en salud. Resultados: Se pudo concluir que en la mayoría de las demandas de responsabilidad medica uno de los principales daños causados a los pacientes es la muerte del paciente con 36% 54 casos, cifra que preocupa y evidencia fallas en la atención de los usuarios y falta de controles de las entidades de salud.
