Caracterización geoquímica y petrográfica de las ocurrencias bituminosas de la región de los libongos (Bengo - Angola)

Abstract

Como objetivo de este trabajo, se propone presentar los resultados de investigaciones geoquímicas y petrográficas de los asfaltos de la provincia de Bengo, en la región de los Libongos. El referido yacimiento se caracteriza por asfaltos calcáreos bituminosos, con espesores hasta los 13 metros e inclinaciones de 5 a 15º. El contenido medio de asfalto oscilan entre el 15 y el 22% ocupando un área de aproximadamente 279,99 ha). Su elaboración comprendió las siguientes fases de trabajo: investigación bibliográfica, trabajo de campo, análisis de laboratorio, interpretación de los resultados y conclusiones.
