Demografía y epidemiología. Una relación necesaria

Abstract

La presente revisión bibliográfica sintetiza como elementos fundamentales la definición de la demografía y la epidemiología como ciencias, para revelar la relación entre dichas áreas del conocimiento. Con un total de veintinueve referencias bibliográficas de los últimos cinco años, se realiza la sistematización sobre la base de la lógica definición de los conceptos, historicidad y determinación de las funciones, lo que posibilita la caracterización de la población cubana demográficamente hablando. Concluye el trabajo con la importancia de tener en cuenta la relación demográfico-epidemiológica en las ciencias médicas e investigaciones aplicadas.
