Reflexiones respecto al tratamiento fiscal de las criptomonedas en México

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como finalidad reflexionar respecto al tratamiento fiscal de las operaciones realizadas con criptomonedas en México, específicamente la moneda digital más representativa “Bitcoin†considerando las leyes vigentes del ejercicio fiscal 2020. El punto de partida de la investigación es identificar las características de las criptomonedas, su funcionamiento, la plataforma en la que se puede llevar a cabo dichas operaciones y el valor que representan. Actualmente, los avances tecnológicos imponen una nueva dinámica financiera, por lo que es importante controlar los ingresos obtenidos por criptomonedas, los cuales deben ser declarados, obteniendo una base gravable para el pago de impuestos. Desde la perspectiva de la economía nacional, es un beneficio, ya que existe una fuente de ingreso adicional en materia de recaudación de impuestos, lo cual representa el principal ingreso para la administración pública. También, es un beneficio para las personas que realizan transacciones con esta moneda digital, ya que al estar más controlada disminuye el riesgo de caer en fraudes, robos, falsificaciones, etc.
