O fracasso em foz do Iguaçu – Paraná do programa do governo federal “Crack, é Possível vencerâ€

Abstract

No final da década da década de 1980, foram registrados os primeiros casos de uso de crack no Brasil. Inicialmente, na cidade de São Paulo, em seguida, em diversas outras capitais e demais municípios do país. Com o passar dos anos e o agravamento da situação, a imprensa passou a veicular de forma maciça as mazelas provocadas por essa droga divulgando os cenários chocantes das cracolândias; locais abertos de uso público do crack onde conviviam usuários, dependentes e traficantes. Assim sendo, com o objetivo de dar uma resposta rápida ao clamor popular provocado pelo problema, o Governo Federal, em 2010, criou o Programa Crack, é possível vencer; um conjunto de ações e políticas públicas articuladas que abriu a possibilidade de que municípios com mais de 200.000 habitantes se integrassem à iniciativa. Assim sendo, em 2013, o município de Foz do Iguaçu-PR fez sua adesão oficial ao Programa.
