Abstract

O presente artigo tem como objetivo abordar as relações entre a Justiça ambiental e as lutas sociais e sua contribuição política para o Serviço Social, buscando compreender o panorama de enfrentamento das questões sociais explicitadas pelo capitalismo. Para esse objetivo, busco no materialismo histórico-dialético a ferramenta necessária para a crítica. Indicamos que a questão ambiental crítica não é um tema em qualquer, mas é uma temática atual e relevante, pois não podemos ignorar o contexto de acumulação e intensificação do capitalismo em termos ambientais, onde a natureza é compreendida na perspectiva mercantil.
