Diagnóstico y perspectivas de la zona fronteriza dominicana con destaque para la situación fiscal en 2019

Abstract

Este trabajo trata sobre la Zona Fronteriza dominicana (ZF) y su realidad socio-económica principalmente en lo relacionado con su situación fiscal. Por considerarlo de interés, se presentan también algunas comparaciones con otras localidades de la República Dominicana principalmente el Distrito Nacional. El objetivo principal del trabajo es identificar los principales problemas y obstáculos al desarrollo de la ZF derivados de sus indicadores e identificar oportunidades a través de la evaluación de su situación socio-económica. El análisis tiene como base la teoría económica, poniendo énfasis en el área de Finanzas Públicas. Se combinan los enfoques cuantitativo y cualitativo para exponer y discutir el problema planteado, aunque usando apenas la estadística descriptiva para el primero. Fueron utilizados los datos secundarios disponibles hasta la fecha permitiendo la exposición y análisis de la realidad de la ZF con sus provincias integrantes.
