Metodología para toma de decisiones en el campo administrativo de las universidades públicas

Abstract

La universidad es la institución social que tiene como función general la de preservar, desarrollar y promover la cultura de la sociedad fundamentalmente mediante la formación de profesionales. Dicho de esta manera, se entiende que cumple su verdadera función social en la medida en que se adecúa a las exigencias que la sociedad le demanda. Ante esta perspectiva, la presente investigación presenta una crítica a la forma en que las estructuras organizativas de las universidades ecuatorianas se insertan en las tendencias al cambio para adaptarse a los nuevos enfoques gerenciales apoyados en la tecnología, para romper la burocracia y la estructura piramidal que permita tomar decisiones con mayor eficiencia y productividad.
