El retorno de los muros y las fronteras de lo común: los límites de la indiferencia y la desigualdad socio-espacial en la globalización neoliberal

Abstract

Este artículo analiza el retorno de los muros en el mundo contemporáneo de la globalización neoliberal. Actualmente, la literatura especializada señala la existencia de 71 muros en las fronteras de todo el mundo, lo que equivale a 40.000 kilómetros. Algunos son conocidos como muros de la vergüenza, construidos en las fronteras y cada vez más en los espacios urbanos. Consideramos que las fronteras de los Estados-nación excluyen, saquean y dividen lo común, los bienes comunes, que son comunales. Para combatir este cierre del mundo, sugerimos que las fronteras son espacios de luchas sociales de migrantes, refugiados, exiliados, indígenas, campesinos y quilombolas, entre otros.
