Morfología y componentes fibrosos del pasto marandú (Brachiaria brizantha cv Marandú) en época lluviosa

Abstract

La presente investigación experimental se llevó a cabo en el cantón El Carmen, en la provincia de Manabí, con el objetivo de determinar el efecto de la edad sobre la morfología, perfil químico, mineral y fibroso del pasto Marandú (Brachiaria brizantha cv Marandú) en época lluviosa. Se utilizó un Diseño de Bloques Completamente al Azar (DBCA) con tres tratamientos y ocho repeticiones. Los resultados se evaluaron en el programa estadístico INFOSTAT, utilizando la prueba de comparación media de Tukey (0.05). Se concluyó lo siguiente: La producción de materia verde fue superior a la edad de corte de 30 días con 2,37 t ha-1; los parámetros de la composición química que reportaron inferencias estadísticas (p0.01) fueron: proteína (25 días a 17,12 %), fibra (20 días a 31,45 %). La digestibilidad fue estadísticamente superior en la edad de corte de 20 días con 56,87%.
