Análisis y mejora del proceso clave “pre-operatorio†de la cirugía de cataratas, en el servicio de oftalmología de un hospital clínico quirúrgico cubano

Abstract

La gestión por procesos ha resultado ser una herramienta imprescindible en la gestión empresarial de hoy, permitiendo mejores resultados en menor tiempo y por tanto alcanzar competitividad y excelencia en el desempeño de las organizaciones, constituyendo por tanto, la base de las normas ISO 9001:2000 así como del modelo EFQM de excelencia. Sobre esta base, el presente trabajo pretende hacer un análisis y proponer mejoras al proceso “Pre-operatorio†que interviene en la Cirugía de cataratas del Servicio de oftalmología en el Hospital clínico quirúrgico cubano, enfocándose en éste como proceso clave. Para el cumplimiento de este objetivo, se confeccionaron los mapas de procesos, los diagramas de procesos y se aplicó la metodología para desarrollar el análisis y mejora a este proceso clave.
