Los demonios del mar contra el león ibérico: piratas y corsarios en las costas de Cuba (siglos XV-XVI)

Abstract

En la Presente investigación se analizan las acciones de las Monarquías y poderes emergentes europeos contra la Isla de Cuba desde el siglo XV hasta el XVII. Se aborda desde una perspectiva histórica, y desde la óptica de la Historia Militar, las acciones bélicas que se realizaron contra la Isla de Cuba, entonces bajo la égida de la corona española. Se abordan características de los contendientes, de sus fuerzas, técnica naval, papel de la gente de la Tierra en la defensa de su terruño, así como los intereses geopolíticos de las fuerzas en conflicto.
