Visión de José Juan Arrom sobre el sincretismo de la Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre

Abstract

Esta investigación es un estudio analítico sociocultural de la obra del destacado investigador José Juan Arrom referida al sincretismo de la Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre en la conformación de la identidad nacional cubana. Impenitente inventor de leyendas e incansable catador de verdades, el escritor mayaricero, refleja a un pueblo que se adentra por entero en los más disimiles mitos y tradiciones en torno a la Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre. Revela su influencia como fenómeno sociocultural, la ve tan necesaria para comprender el proceso de formación y desarrollo de la identidad cultural cubana. La importancia de la investigación, desde el punto de vista de la conservación del patrimonio cultural mayaricero, recae fundamentalmente en lo novedoso del tema, pues no se cuenta con estudios al respecto en la localidad, de esta manera queda abierta la posibilidad de consulta para posteriores estudios sobre dicha temática de la cultura cubana.
