El trabajo educativo para contribuir a la preservación del patrimonio y la identidad local

Abstract

El artículo tiene como objetivo compartir experiencias del trabajo y resultados alcanzados por los miembros del proyecto “Rodas. Patrimonio, Identidad y Desarrollo Local, que se ejecuta en el Centro Universitario Municipal de Rodas, Cienfuegos, Cuba, como parte de las acciones comunitarias educativas para contribuir a la conservación del patrimonio cultural y la identidad local, y a su vez propiciar nuevas reflexiones y aportaciones que lo enriquezcan. Se fundamenta el porqué de la necesidad de desarrollar la cultura histórica no solo de los docentes y estudiantes, sino también de gestores y decisores del desarrollo local, y la imposibilidad de lograrlo sin un conocimiento integrado de la historia nacional, regional y local y del patrimonio cultural, que les permita identificarlo y en consecuencia desarrollar la responsabilidad de valorarlo y conservarlo para las presentes y futuras generaciones.
