Contexto sociodemográfico y situación organizacional de la población Maconta

Abstract

El objetivo del trabajo consistió en analizar el aspecto sociodemográfico que inciden en la organización de la comunidad “Maconta†, perteneciente a la Parroquia Abdón Calderón del Cantón Portoviejo, provincia de Manabí. Para la realización de la investigación se aplicó el método analítico, inductivo, deductivo, apoyado en la técnica de la encuesta a 187 familias de la comunidad “Maconta†; los resultados evidenciaron que el sector cuenta con pocas organizaciones sociales como Comité Maconta, el Seguro Social Campesino, Club de mortuoria y el grupo fortaleciendo semillas, pero se visualiza una escasa organización y participación en la toma de decisiones para afrontar situaciones como el consumo de drogas, embarazo adolescente, carencia de agua potable, falta de alcantarillado, alumbrado público y transporte, entre otros, de esta manera los aspectos sociales y demográficos, influyen en la organización de la población e incluso se requiere la participación de las familias en los ámbitos de salud, educación, organización, empoderamiento y otros elementos clave para que se logre el desarrollo local.
