Comportamiento de las variables demográficas en el municipio de Calixto García de Holguín

Abstract

La actual situación demográfica del país, ha conllevado a que diversas instituciones a nivel nacional intensifiquen sus investigaciones en cuanto a la baja fecundidad, altos índices de envejecimiento y migraciones a nivel nacional e internacional. La provincia Holguín, tercera con mayor cantidad de habitantes de Cuba no está ajena a ello, por lo que determinar cuál es el comportamiento sociodemográfico del territorio se hace necesario, para trabajar en las posibles soluciones a las situaciones identificadas. El municipio de Calixto García en el año 2016, (ONEI, 2016) se encuentra en el sexto municipio de mayor población y también presenta una situación demográfica compleja, la cual debe de ser abordada científicamente. Por tanto, el presente trabajo pretende sensibilizar y servir de apoyo para los órganos administrativos municipales para la toma de decisiones. Pretende además diagnosticar ciertas tendencias demográficas que hoy en día tienen los habitantes de Calixto García, en función de pensar en los aspectos que cualitativamente están influyendo en estos comportamientos y en lo que se puede hacer para amortiguar las incidencias negativas que puedan tener a largo plazo.
