El estrés en madres de niños con discapacidad y su influencia familiar

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la influencia del estrés en madres de niños con discapacidad asistentes a la “Asociación de Desarrollo Social Esperanza del Niño Especial†. La investigación se desarrolló en una muestra de 34 madres asistentes a la asociación. El tipo de investigación utilizado es descriptivo de corte no experimental, transversal, cuantitativa y correlacional, utilizando como instrumentos de estudio un cuestionario de estrés parental y la entrevista estructurada dirigida a un profesional para profundizar la investigación. Los resultados obtenidos refieren que existe un nivel alto de estrés en las tres dimensiones evaluadas por la escala, malestar paterno, interacción disfuncional padres-niños y niño difícil, además de esto se comprobó que el estrés percibido por la población de estudio ha influido en la dinámica familiar, teniendo una relación que interfiere negativamente y que denota una falencia y falta de recursos para afrontar la situación.
