Desarrollo y consumo cultural: breves apuntes teóricos

Abstract

El desarrollo cultural cubano tiene sus propias peculiaridades que los distinguen de otros tanto en América Latina como en Europa o E.U.A, pero lo cierto es que continúa siendo un proceso de participación de la población en la vida cultural del país, donde se promueve la creatividad, se defiende la identidad y diversidad, y donde se tiene en cuenta las condiciones históricas concretas que se proyectan en el contexto nacional. Hablar en Cuba hoy de desarrollo cultural, pasa necesariamente por el prisma del consumo cultural y del desarrollo de las Nuevas Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones; factores que transversalizan la vida social, cultural, religiosa, económica y hasta política de cualquier nación. Estos elementos se convierten en fuente de motivación para emprender esta sistematización teórica desde el aporte que puede dar una mirada sociohistórica del fenómeno.
