Abstract

El artículo presenta una propuesta de elaboración de un panel aislante térmico a base de cartón y tapones de corcho reciclado para viviendas de interés social en la parroquia el Salto, Babahoyo. El objetivo es comprobar que se puede utilizar materiales de desechos inorgánicos para elaborar elementos de construcción a un bajo costo, un corto proceso de transformación para que la población lo pueda obtener. Al reutilizar materiales como cartón y tapones de corcho contribuye al cuidado del medio ambiente, al reciclar el cartón se disminuye la tala de árboles y el procedimiento industrial. Cuando un producto se desarrolla en las grandes industrias origina contaminación en su período de fabricación puesto que por lo general la materia prima proviene de derivados de petróleo.
