Mortalidad por cáncer bucal en Cuba en el período 2013 -2017

Abstract

El cáncer bucal es una enfermedad crónica no transmisible, es un factor importante de la carga mundial de morbilidad, y lo será cada vez más en los decenios venideros. Se estima que el número anual de casos nuevos pasará de los 10 millones registrados en 2000 a 15 millones antes de 2020. Con el objetivo de conocer la mortalidad por Cáncer Bucal en el país se realizó un proyecto de investigación a través de un estudio observacional y descriptivo, en el período comprendido de 2013 a 2017. La muestra estuvo constituida por el total de fallecidos del país en el período establecido. Se estudiaron variables como: edad, sexo, situación geográfica y localización anatómica. Con la información recogida se confeccionaron tablas donde se presentaron los resultados de los indicadores más significativos.
