Reactividad cutánea e inmunoterapia con ácaros Vallergen en pacientes alérgicos. Municipio Yaguajay 2014-2018

Abstract

Las enfermedades alérgicas se consideran un problema de salud pública, no sólo por su elevada frecuencia sino por su impacto económico y repercusión en la calidad de vida de los pacientes. Se realizó una investigación descriptiva, transversal y observacional con el objetivo de caracterizar la reactividad cutánea y la aplicación de inmunoterapia a pacientes alérgicos del municipio de Yaguajay, en el período comprendido entre 2014 a 2018. La población en estudio fueron todos los pacientes a los que se le aplicó la prueba de alergia y la inmunoterapia con ácaros vallergen (total 399). De ellos presentaron reactividad cutánea 307. Se estudiaron las variables edad, sexo, enfermedad predominante, tipo de inmunoterapia aplicada, tiempo de administración de la misma, evolución clínica de los pacientes y eventos adversos presentados. El año donde hubo mayor reactividad cutánea fue el 2016. En el grupo de estudio la mayor incidencia se encontró en el sexo femenino y en el grupo etáreo de 5 a 14 años. La enfermedad predominante fue la Rinitis alérgica. La mayor cantidad de personas fueron tratadas con el extracto Blomia tropicalis (en lo adelante BT) y la mejor evolución se obtuvo con seis meses y más de mantenimiento. Bajo la aplicación de la misma se presentaron pocos eventos adversos por lo que se considera un tratamiento eficaz y seguro.
