Abstract

El encuentro cultural entre dos mundo Las islas Canarias y Cuba, constituyen un punto de partida en la historia moderna del Llamado Nuevo Mundo. Su posición geográfica, el clima, su situación social en la época del descubrimiento, la escasa fertilidad de sus suelos, su dependencia como colonia de una misma metrópoli han permitido que entre estas dos regiones se haya establecido una relación que ha perdurado en el tiempo, y que ha favorecido un espacio de retroalimentación a través de la cultura como vehículo de forja de una identidad.
