Abstract

Este artículo tiene como principal objetivo el análisis de los documentales del cineasta viajero William Gericke sobre el sur de Santa Catarina entre las décadas de 1940 y 1960, teniendo como base principal a la perspectiva de la cultura visual. En el caso de que se produzca un cambio en la calidad de vida de las personas que viven en el país, se encajan en ese escenario, destacando el trabajo de las ciudades abordadas como forma de progreso y modernización de la región.
