O gênero na interface com a imprensa escrita: representações de feminilidade na década de 50 nas páginas do jornal tribuna do Sul (1955)

Abstract

Esse artigo fará uma análise dos discursos de feminilidade e das representações que estão presentes no Jornal Tribuna do Sul, que circulava na região do grande Araranguá, no estado de Santa Catarina, Brasil. Analisaremos alguns textos presentes no jornal, no ano de 1955, articulando questões tocantes à imprensa, à história e aos estudos de gênero. Tal jornal, durante o período em que circulou, propagou em seus escritos discursos normativos de feminilidade, na tentativa de homogeneizar o destino das mulheres, determinando seus limites de atuação e produzindo subjetividades normatizadas. Dessa forma, o presente artigo apresenta como objetivo analisar esses discursos que buscavam construir a imagem de uma boa mulher e todos os estereótipos tocantes a elas, percebendo como essas estratégias de controle vinham se modificando e se adaptando na década de 50, conforme oscilações nos costumes, nas vivências sociais e cotidianas.
