El rol del profesional de bibliotecología en el manejo técnico del archivo e información institucional

Abstract

Este trabajo se realizó basado en el tipo de investigación cuantitativo con aplicativos de cuestionarios para la ejecución de las encuestas a los jefes y encargados del área informacional y archivo de quince instituciones situadas en la parroquia Portoviejo de la misma ciudad. Se realizó la respectiva recolección de datos teóricos referidos a conceptualizaciones que abarcan temas como bibliotecología, desempeño del bibliotecólogo en áreas técnicas y como gestor de la información, archivo, tipos y sistemas informáticos. Se realizó este trabajo para conocer el rol profesional que desempeñan los encargados de archivo e información de las instituciones y precisar la forma en la que manejan los archivos los empleados encargados de esta área; en este apartado se encontraron resultados que revelan que ninguna de las instituciones visitadas tienen contratado personal profesionalizado en rama de bibliotecología y archivo, sin embargo en estos puestos de trabajos existen personas que poseen otros títulos profesionales.
