Abstract

O movimento homossexual brasileiro passou por várias fases até a sua consolidação. Este artigo traça um breve panorama de como os homossexuais brasileiros se organizaram e se visibilizaram em prol da luta por seus direitos. O período estudado compreende desde a década de 60 aos dias atuais, apresentando seus enfrentamentos diante do período da AIDS, os embates por reconhecimento por parte de setores políticos, religiosos e educacionais e a constate luta para a permanência dos direitos conquistados.
